This blanket is 60% baby Alpaca and 40% a special acrylic we use in Peru to compliment the Alpaca.  This blanket will be much appreciated in your home.  Its antimicrobial properties and resistance to odors make it a pleasure to use around the home. 

Too many people place too much emphasis on the amount of Alpaca in the blanket.  We believe the quality of the Alpaca used to make the blanket is the most important factor.  Only the first two haircuts we give our Alpacas will give us the finest quality hair, which we call "baby Alpaca".  The next 18 years we get "adult quality" Alpaca.   We use only the baby Alpaca on our products and sell the adult Alpaca to other companies.
