We control every essential step behind the Beige and Steel Blue throw. Our family raises and shears the alpacas, selects the fleece, develops the natural palette, and designs the weave. It is hand-loomed in Peru and offered directly by Peruvian Accent.

Our Baby Alpaca Standard

The Beige and Steel Blue throw follows our first two shearings baby alpaca standard. This early fleece is the finest and softest grade we select. It guarantees comfort without sacrificing an elegant drape.

Baby alpaca fibers are naturally hollow. They hold warmth when you need it and release excess heat as you warm. Alpaca is also free of lanolin, making it gentle for many people with wool sensitivities.

Softness with Lasting Structure

This two-tone weave is 60% baby alpaca and 40% Dralon. Alpaca provides the soft, breathable warmth. Dralon adds durability and structure, keeping the beige-and-blue pattern crisp and balanced.
