Unlike bulky dog jackets, alpaca fiber is lightweight, breathable, and naturally temperature regulating. Alpaca fibers are hollow, allowing the sweater to adapt to changing temperatures—keeping your dog warm outdoors while preventing overheating indoors.

Another reason alpaca is ideal for dogs is that it contains no lanolin, making it naturally hypoallergenic and gentle on sensitive skin. Many dogs that are sensitive to wool or synthetic fabrics find alpaca incredibly comfortable.

The ribbed chest knit creates a flexible stretch that makes the sweater easy to put on while providing a comfortable, form-fitting shape for dogs with broader chests such as French Bulldogs, Dachshunds, and other small breeds.

For convenience, we designed the sweater with a harness access hole on the back, allowing you to place your dog’s harness underneath the sweater and clip the leash through the opening. This makes it the perfect sweater for daily walks, travel, or outings around town.

Our sweaters are made with baby alpaca fiber, the softest and finest fleece alpacas produce during their first two years. Later fleece is considered adult quality, but we reserve baby alpaca for our premium dog sweaters to achieve the ultimate softness.
