Andean Ember Baby Alpaca Throw Blanket — Andean Ember brings together burnished gold and warm orange in a palette that glows without becoming overpowering. The naturally dyed colors give the weave depth, movement, and unmistakable Andean character.
Made by Us in Peru
Andean Ember carries our hand through every stage. We raise and shear the alpacas, select the fiber, develop the naturally dyed gold-and-orange palette, and create the design. Each throw is hand-loomed in Peru and offered directly by our family business.
Our Baby Alpaca Standard
The first two shearings produce the fiber we classify as baby alpaca. We reserve this finest, softest fleece for our throws. In Andean Ember, it creates a touch as refined as the color.
Baby alpaca fibers are naturally hollow. They hold warmth when you need it and release excess heat as you warm. Alpaca is also free of lanolin, making it gentle for many people with wool sensitivities.
Softness with Lasting Structure
The Andean Ember blend contains 60% baby alpaca and 40% Dralon. Baby alpaca gives the throw its soft, breathable warmth. Dralon adds structure and durability to the expressive woven design.
