A teal that doesn't try too hard
Somewhere between blue and green, teal and charcoal together add a quiet pop of color without overwhelming a room — a favorite for a beach house or a sunroom.
Family-owned since 1979
Peruvian Accent is part of a cooperative of 300+ Peruvian families who raise the alpacas, shear them, and hand-dye the wool using traditional methods before we hand-loom every blanket ourselves. No factories, no middlemen.
Why baby alpaca is different
Not all alpaca is the same. The finest fiber, called baby alpaca, only comes from an animal's first two shearings — everything sheared after that is coarser adult-grade fiber. We keep the baby alpaca for our own blankets and sell the adult fiber elsewhere.
Warms you up, lets you cool down
The hollow structure of alpaca fiber means it warms you up when you're cold and lets heat escape once you've warmed up, instead of trapping it the way synthetic fills do.
