Made by Us in Peru

Steel Blue is produced through a process we have guided since 1979. Our family raises and shears the alpacas, selects the fleece, creates the color with natural dyeing methods, and designs the weave. We hand-loom the throw in Peru and sell it directly.

Our Baby Alpaca Standard

Steel Blue is made with baby alpaca from the first two shearings. This early fiber is the finest and softest fleece we select. It allows us to guarantee the elevated comfort associated with Peruvian Accent.

Baby alpaca fibers are naturally hollow. They hold warmth when you need it and release excess heat as you warm. Alpaca is also free of lanolin, making it gentle for many people with wool sensitivities.

Softness with Lasting Structure

Steel Blue combines 60% baby alpaca with 40% Dralon. The natural fiber offers lightweight warmth and softness. Dralon reinforces the blanket, helping it hold its shape through regular use.
