The Silver throw begins with our own alpacas and ends with our own design. We oversee shearing, fiber selection, natural dyeing, and hand-looming in Peru. Selling our work directly lets us protect its quality from beginning to end.

Our Baby Alpaca Standard

We classify the fine fiber from the first two shearings as baby alpaca. It is chosen for its exceptional softness and elegant drape. That standard gives the Silver throw its light, polished feel.

Baby alpaca fibers are naturally hollow. They hold warmth when you need it and release excess heat as you warm. Alpaca is also free of lanolin, making it gentle for many people with wool sensitivities.

Softness with Lasting Structure

Silver pairs 60% baby alpaca with 40% Dralon. The baby alpaca brings airy warmth and softness. Dralon adds strength and structure, allowing the throw to retain its graceful shape.
