Made by Us in Peru

Every Royal Purple throw reflects a process we oversee ourselves. We raise and shear our alpacas, select the fleece, prepare the natural color, and create the design. The blanket is hand-loomed in Peru and sold directly by Peruvian Accent.

Our Baby Alpaca Standard

We reserve the name baby alpaca for fiber gathered during the first two shearings. It is finer and softer than later fleece. Our Royal Purple throw uses this selected grade to guarantee exceptional softness.

Baby alpaca fibers are naturally hollow. They hold warmth when you need it and release excess heat as you warm. Alpaca is also free of lanolin, making it gentle for many people with wool sensitivities.

Softness with Lasting Structure

We combine 60% baby alpaca with 40% Dralon for a considered reason. Alpaca creates the soft, breathable warmth. Dralon adds resilience and structure, so the Royal Purple design remains beautifully composed.
