Royal Bone expresses the complete craft behind our family business. We raise and shear the alpacas, select the fleece, preserve its warm neutral character, and develop the design. Each throw is hand-loomed in Peru before we bring it directly to your home.

Our Baby Alpaca Standard

Royal Bone begins with baby alpaca from the first two shearings. We choose that early fleece because it is the finest and softest grade. The result is a neutral throw with an unmistakably gentle hand.

Baby alpaca fibers are naturally hollow. They hold warmth when you need it and release excess heat as you warm. Alpaca is also free of lanolin, making it gentle for many people with wool sensitivities.

Softness with Lasting Structure

The Royal Bone blend is 60% baby alpaca and 40% Dralon. Alpaca supplies the luxurious softness and airy warmth. Dralon supports the weave with added durability, shape, and structure.
