Warm in color, not just in name
Pumpkin Spice is a warm burnt-orange tone that reads "fall" in the U.S. — but the blanket itself doesn't know what month it is. It's just as at home wrapped around your shoulders on a cool July evening in Johannesburg as it is next to a bonfire in October.
We're a family business, not a factory
Peruvian Accent works with a cooperative of 300+ Peruvian families who raise our alpacas, shear them, and dye the wool by hand using traditional methods passed down for generations — then we loom every blanket ourselves.
Here's what most alpaca sellers won't tell you
An alpaca is shorn for up to 20 years, but only the first two shearings count as true baby alpaca. Everything after that is coarser adult-grade fiber. We use only that first-cut fiber in our blankets.
Warms you up, lets you cool down
Alpaca's hollow fiber traps heat when you're cold and releases it once you've warmed up — which is why it tends to become the blanket of choice for people who run hot and cold within the same hour.
