Every throw reflects a process we oversee ourselves. We raise and shear our alpacas, select the fleece, prepare the natural color, and create the design. Hand-loomed in Peru and sold directly by Peruvian Accent, Deep Amethyst & Charcoal carries the same craftsmanship as our Royal Purple throw.

Our Baby Alpaca Standard

We reserve the name baby alpaca for fiber gathered during the first two shearings. This selected grade gives our throws their exceptionally soft feel.

Baby alpaca offers lightweight, breathable warmth and natural temperature regulation. Alpaca is also free of lanolin, making it a gentle choice for many people with wool sensitivities.

Softness with Lasting Structure

A thoughtful blend of 60% baby alpaca and 40% Dralon balances softness with everyday resilience. Baby alpaca lends its warmth and beautiful drape, while Dralon adds structure to help the woven design retain its shape.
