We are makers, not resellers. Since 1979, our family has raised the alpacas, overseen shearing, chosen the fiber, worked with natural dyes, and developed every design. This dark chocolate and charcoal throw is hand-loomed in Peru and sold directly by us.

Our Baby Alpaca Standard

Our baby alpaca standard is precise: only fiber from an alpaca’s first two shearings qualifies. It is the finest, softest fleece the animal produces. That careful selection guarantees the smooth hand-feel of this darker design.

Baby alpaca fibers are naturally hollow. They hold warmth when you need it and release excess heat as you warm. Alpaca is also free of lanolin, making it gentle for many people with wool sensitivities.

Softness with Lasting Structure

The composition pairs 60% baby alpaca with 40% Dralon. The alpaca lends softness and temperature-regulating warmth. Dralon reinforces the weave, adding structure for years of comfortable use.
