Deep, elegant, and easy to style
Deep black woven through with warm beige — striking on a leather armchair, quietly elegant folded at the foot of a bed.
Family-owned since 1979
Peruvian Accent is part of a cooperative of 300+ Peruvian families who raise the alpacas ourselves, shear them, and hand-dye the wool using traditional natural dyes — the same methods used in the Andes for generations — before hand-looming every blanket start to finish. No middlemen, no factories.
Why baby alpaca is different
Not all "100% Alpaca" is the same. An alpaca can be sheared for 18–20 years, but only the first two shearings produce true baby alpaca — the softest, finest fiber the animal ever grows. Everything after that is coarser adult alpaca, which is what many "100% alpaca" blankets you'll find elsewhere are actually made from.
Warms you up, lets you cool down
Alpaca fiber is naturally thermoregulating: it warms you when you're cold and breathes to release heat once you warm up — which is exactly why it works for people who run cold one minute and hot the next (hello, hot flashes and thermostat wars).
